How we process your personal data
Dance Vida takes great care when handling personal information to protect your privacy. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been in force since 25 May 2018 and strengthens individuals’ rights regarding their personal data. You therefore have the right to know what we do with your information, the purposes for which we process your data, how long we retain it and who has access to it. The personal data provided is processed in accordance with applicable legislation or other regulations, as well as our internal guidelines, policies and procedures for the handling of personal data. Personal information is usually obtained directly from you as a participant when you register for our events and classes.What data do we collect?
When you contact us via our website, by telephone or in person, we process your name, address, personal identification number (where applicable), postal address, email address and telephone number. Dance Vida also collects technical data about the devices you use to visit our website, including your IP address or other log information. For example, we collect your personal information via forms on our website when you fill in your details to sign up for classes or workshops.For what purposes is the personal data processed?
The personal data collected in connection with your use of our services will be processed by Dance Vida. We use your personal information to send you information, notifications and confirmations regarding the classes you sign up for, as well as in the event of any changes or cancellations to classes. We also send out newsletters about events, workshops and classes. We may use your information to contact you for administrative and informational purposes. We may send you direct marketing, including updates on promotions and events, relating to products and services offered by us or by third parties with whom we collaborate. If you are or have been one of our students, we will only send you direct marketing with your consent or in accordance with applicable legislation. You may unsubscribe or withdraw your consent at any time.Correction, deletion and deregistration
You can request that your information be updated or deleted by sending us an email. In accordance with applicable law, you have the right to request access to and information about the data we hold about you, to update or correct any inaccuracies, and to have the data blocked, deleted or removed where necessary. If you receive a newsletter from us, you can unsubscribe and delete your email details directly within the email or by sending us a request. If you receive commercial emails or text messages from us, you can unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions in the message. You can also choose to unsubscribe by sending a request by email to info@dancevida.se. We use Google Analytics to collect and process certain analytics data. Dance Vida’s dance classes and events are not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not deliberately collect information from children under the age of 18 without obtaining parental consent. Our classes and events are for adults only. If younger people take part, parental involvement is required.Data security
We use physical, organisational and technical security measures to improve the integrity and security of the information we collect and store. Only we have access to this information. Please note, however, that no security measures are completely infallible, and we cannot guarantee that your information will never be accessed, viewed, disclosed, altered or destroyed in the event of a security breach.Storage of your information
We retain your information to provide our services or in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. We aim to retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfil our obligations under this policy, unless otherwise required or permitted by law.How long do we keep your data?
We retain your personal data (email address) for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose of the processing. This means that certain data is stored for a longer period, for example so that we can send you newsletters about our classes and events even if you are no longer taking part in our courses. To have your data deleted, you can send us a request or unsubscribe yourself via the link in our emails.Changes and updates to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make any changes, we will publish the updated version on the Dance Vida website and services, and indicate the date of the most recent change. We will take reasonable steps to notify you of any changes. To the extent permitted by law, your continued use of Dance Vida and its services following any changes constitutes your acknowledgement that you have read, understood and accepted the current version of this policy.Your rights
Depending on the situation, you may, amongst other things, have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and the right to object to the processing.
