  • You'll have plenty of time to practise your steps and move around freely.

Salsa Cubana con Rumba - Intermediate and Advanced

In the more advanced classes, we focus on a practical approach for Rumba.

  • The aim is to give you the confidence to dance the Rumba when it appears no choreographies, just free dance and different steps to practise.

What is Bachata Moderna?

Modern Bachata emerged in the 1990s and has become a globally popular dance style. It developed in the Western world when dancers, inspired by Aventura and with limited contact with traditional Dominican bachata, began to mix in elements of salsa and other dances.

  • Step: Uses basic side steps and forward-backward steps.
  • Movements: Includes spins, twists, hammerlocks, redirects and dips.
  • Style: Emphasises dynamic footwork and showmanship, often danced to faster, more complex music with influences from pop, R&B and hip hop.
  • Position: Can be danced both in open and closed position.

Modern Bachata is faster and more expressive compared to the more intimate traditional bachata, making it accessible and fun for dancers of all levels.
