General terms and conditions

Welcome to Dance Vida! Before making a purchase, please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By proceeding with your purchase, you accept and agree to these terms.

Section 1: Purchase of courses

To buy courses or workshops at Dance Vida, follow these steps:

Select the classes you want to attend from the schedule.
Fill in the mandatory form with your personal data.
Tick the box to receive an invoice.
Finalise your payment.

Prices and discounts

Course prices and possible discounts are available on our website and are subject to change depending on the date of enrolment.

Section 2: Right of withdrawal (before the courses start)

When you make an online purchase from Dance Vida, you are entering into a distance contract, and the following conditions apply:

You have the right to cancel your purchase without giving a reason within 14 days of the date of purchase, provided that the dance classes have not yet started.
The cancellation period expires 14 days after the purchase. To exercise your right of cancellation, please notify Dance Vida by email at info@dancevida.se.
If you cancel your purchase within the specified timeframe and before classes have started, Dance Vida will refund your payment via bank transfer.

Please note that this only applies before the dance classes have started, not after! After receiving your cancellation request, Dance Vida will send you a confirmation by email. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact us immediately by phone, SMS or Facebook.

Section 3: Switching between courses

During the first week we offer open house, where you can try different levels. You have one week from the start of the course to change your course, but after two weeks, changes are no longer possible.

Section 4: Amendments

Dance Vida reserves the right to change class schedules and instructors as needed.

Section 5: Cancelled classes

Dance Vida may cancel a class if there are not at least 12 registered participants, in order to ensure there are enough dance partners and to cover costs. If a course is cancelled, Dance Vida will notify you at least two days before the start of the course or workshop. You will then be able to choose between:

Repayment
Transfer to another open course or workshop
Waiting list for the next available round

Episode 6: Missed classes

The following only applies if you have a medical certificate:

If you miss classes due to illness and present a doctor's certificate, you can request to make up the missed classes in the next term.
If you choose to cancel and request a refund, you will have to pay for the classes that have already taken place up to the date of your cancellation. Refunds are given for the remaining classes.

In the case of absence for reasons other than illness (with a medical certificate), the following applies:

You may only recover and missed lesson by attending a course at a lower level in the same dance style.
Please contact us in advance if you have special circumstances that require a specific solution.

Please note:

You cannot cancel your course in the middle of the semester or after the start of the course without a medical certificate.
If you do, you will lose the course fee without the right to a refund or the possibility to repeat the course next semester.

Section 7: Renewal of the notification

Former students become not automatically enrolled for the next term or workshop. A new purchase is required for each term or workshop. If you are unsure which level to choose, please contact us for guidance.

Method of payment

After enrolment and acceptance of the terms and conditions, you will receive an invoice for your dance classes. The invoice will contain payment instructions, including Swish and Plusgiro for online payments.

Membership

As a student, you automatically become a member of our association, Dance Vida.

Currency

All payments are made in Swedish kronor (SEK).

Late payment fees

Late payments are subject to a late fee of 60 SEK, which will be billed to your provided email address after the due date. If the invoice is still not paid, the case is forwarded to debt collection, which means an additional fee of 160 SEK.

Media: Images and videos

Dance Vida has the right to photograph and film during dance classes, social dances, parties and events. These photos and videos may be published on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube for marketing purposes. For security reasons, we have also surveillance cameras in all dance halls around the clock.
