ABOUT OUR COURSES AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN!
Welcome to our beginner courses at Dance Vida!
In our classes we speak English, but you can also talk to us in Swedish and Spanish.
These courses are for absolute beginners. We start from scratch and you don't need any previous dance experience.
You don't need to sign up with a dance partner to take part in our classes, we rotate partners every 2 minutes in our classes.
If you want to sign up with a dance partner and not rotate, this is also possible.
During these 2 weeks you will learn the basics and be able to socialise with anyone in the world who can dance these dances.
Get ready to learn, have fun, meet lots of people and make new friends through dance!

ABOUT KIZOMBA
Kizomba is a social dance with roots in Angola - known for its soft, fluid movement and close contact between dance partners. It is danced to calm, emotional music and has become very popular in Europe in recent years.
During these weeks we will focus on the basic steps of kizomba, how to follow the music and develop contact and interaction with the partner. You will learn:
Basic steps and walks
Timing and musicality
Techniques to follow and lead
Simple social combinations
Kizomba-style posture and body control
Kizomba is perfect for those who want to develop their body awareness and communication with others. The class is relaxed and safe - a great way to meet new people in a calmer environment.
After the introductory weeks, you can continue with Kizomba for beginners or improvers, depending on your level.
ABOUT TANGO
Argentine Tango is a passionate and expressive couple dance with deep cultural roots in Buenos Aires. It's about feeling, connection and the magic of the moment - not about learning a bunch of fixed choreography.
During these weeks you will be introduced to tango in an open and accessible way. We go through:
Basic walking and rhythms
How to connect with your partner
Techniques to follow and lead
Simple sequences that can be used in social dance
Introduction to the unique posture and style of tango
Tango is very much about presence and interaction - many people come to tango to find a deeper way to communicate, and to enjoy the music with others.
After the introductory classes, you can continue with Tango Argentino beginners, or switch to improvers if you want to progress quickly.
