We'll start the weekend off right by exploring the basics of axis spins.

You will learn key spinning techniques that will directly improve your balance, control and confidence, whether you are dancing Bachata, Zouk, Salsa or any other couple dance.

We will dive into one of the most advanced movement concepts of Brazilian Zouk and create a powerful laboratory to explore several variations with:

- Tilted Turns
- Circular Head Movements
- Roasted Chicken Technique

To finish, we will challenge you with an exciting towel technique, seamlessly linked to an axis spin variation.

A simple but incredibly delicious combination, created to be used directly in Sensual Bachata and BachaZouk.

We will work with a mostly stationary movement, making it easy to integrate directly into both Bachata and Zouk social dancing.

Whatever your dance style, this workshop will change the way you hear and interpret music.

You will learn to connect with each layer of the song through:

- Creativity exercises
- Musical interpretation
- Solo drills
- Partner dynamics

Then we bring it all into couple work, so that your partner dancing becomes truly musical, not just your shines.

This boot camp will help you understand how to use Zouk-inspired movements in Bachata with control, connection and musicality.

You don't just learn “moves”.
You learn how the movement works.

This boot camp is suitable for you if:

  • Dancing Bachata and already have some experience
  • Want to understand how Zouk can be integrated into Bachata

You don't need to have advanced Zouk experience, but you should know the basics of Bachata.

Pedrinho Mattos & Beatriz Sanchez

Meet Pedrinho Mattos and Beatriz Sanchez from Brazil.

Mr Pedrinho has 17 years of experience in dance and is known for his creative and educational approach to Zouk.

Together with Beatriz he creates a dance style full of flow, connection, musicality and playful technique.

Their focus is not just on teaching steps. They help dancers understand how music affects movement, how the body can adapt to different energies and how each dancer can find their own expression.

During this boot camp you will learn how Zouk technique can be used in Bachata in a natural, safe and musical way.
